| Elisabeth Freeman is the President and CEO of the International Center for Professional Development (ICPD). In addition to providing leadership and managing the organizations’ programs, she has played a key role in providing access to careers, mentoring and professional development for students, military veterans and life science professionals. Elisabeth is a frequent speaker for training programs, meetings and conferences. Her career has included formulation research at Amgen Inc., resulting in multiple talks, posters and a co-invention. She has served as a consultant for the Biotechnology Institute. She also devotes her time and resources to philanthropic efforts building greater self-reliance, improved healthcare access and education in African communities. |
Scott May is Executive Director at the International Center for Professional Development (ICPD). Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Education Programs at the Biotechnology Institute.
Before joining the Biotechnology Institute, May was Senior Advisor for the President's Mathematics and Science Initiative at the US Department of Education, where he advised Secretary of Education, Rod Paige. He also served as Executive Director of Project 2061 Professional Development Programs at the American Association for the Advancement of Science and Director of Strategic Initiatives at the National Science Teachers Association. He is a member of the Board of Triangle Coalition, and member of the Presidential Advisory Board at the Ana G. Mendez University System. |
